The London Student Experience | The Diary (#Ad)

Last week saw the London Student Experience project really come to life and it's about time that I told you all about it. Unite Students invited me down to stay in Stratford One, an amazing building directly opposite the Olympic Park, with a view of the City of London.

Monday- The Warm Welcome

We dived straight into the whole thing with welcome drinks and bowling (I lost in a quite impressive way), and then it was time for a cup of tea and early night before the build-up to the 24 hour challenge began.

Tuesday - The Preparation

Tuesday saw an early morning and breakfast with a view (again!) We weren't about to get used to it anytime soon. We spent the morning settling in and listening to a presentation from the lovely guys at Steak. After lunch we got to learn how to capture the upcoming 24 hours in London with fancy cameras and the talented Tim from There4 Productions imparted all his knowledge. Then- the bit we were all anxious for - the announcement of teams. All twelve of us had bonded so well but once groups were revealed, we knew the vibe would change. There was an iPad at stake for each of us, o things were about to get competitive!

The Brief - Students, London, a tight budget. Up to 24 hours to pack in as much as possible, capturing the day on Twitter, Instagram, Vine, and Video.

Rachel, Alex, Iman and I were put together to form #TeamRAIR, and we had the afternoon to plan Wednesday and our 24 hours to explore London to create our guide. Laptops and thinking caps came out in full force! We all tried to get an early night but the mixture of excitement and anxiety made it impossible to sleep!

Wednesday- The Big Day

Alarms rang at 4am to start getting ready for the day, and we saw the sun rise over London at 5am. We were leaving Stratford One at 6am and the three teams went their separate ways to put our plans into action and explore.
We tried to cover as many miles as possible so it would be a mammoth task to tell you about everything we stuffed into the day, but here are some of the highlights! I'll be tweeting all about the final guides when they have been compiled. I can't wait for you all to see what we got up to!

Thursday - The Goodbyes

Thursday was our last day in London. The teams all re-convened and we compiled all our material to show the Unite Team what we got up to! Before we knew it, it was time for the journey home and lots and lots of sleep. It's a couple of days that I want to relive over and over!

This post is sponsored by the lovely Unite Students. But don't worry- everything I've written are my my own words and honest opinions!
