Pretty Things in The Post

I've been revising since Monday and my brain already feels like it's turning to mush. My little escape has been reading blogs in revision breaks and making a mental note of all recipes that I want to try. Admittedly most of the time I've resorted to making chocolate cookies or brownies but I'm not that fussed because let's face it- when is there a bad time to eat a chocolate brownie? In between all this I've been trying to find the odd bit of time to write a post myself and I sprang at the chance to get the tripod out when these pretty necklaces dropped into my letter box, courtesy of Stone + Armour. Based just on my doorstep in Nottingham, S+A create handmade jewellery with semi-precious stones. Laura sent me over a few things to show you and they're just lovely. Perfect for layering over t shirts, or dressing up a little with a pair of heels. Although they're just getting started, there are so many pretty designs on the website and there really isn't an excuse because Stone and Armour ship worldwide.

Let me know what you think of this outfit- it's a little girlier than I would usually go for but I won't lie to you, it was pretty nice to be able to go bare legged without a goose bump in sight so I had to grab the chance while it lasted. Finger's crossed that there's more warm weather to come?!

The New Thing: Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm, Elusive

I don't think I'm going to be saving any money anytime soon! The Boots '3 for 2' offer got me again... Remember my latest Wish List, that left me pining for a Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms? Well, I picked up the shade 'Elusive' a week or so ago and I'm impressed.

'Elusive' is a really wearable pink, and perfect for Spring in my eyes. Revlon seem to have perfected a matte offering that doesn't leave your lips feeling chalky- instead they're oh-so-smooth, no flaking in sight. I'm also in love with it's fresh, minty scent. Definitely a nice change from some of the funky scents my other lip products have.

They're super easy to apply and touch up, and they sit comfy on my lips. I definitely want to go back and scout out the rest of the collection- there's a peachy orange I have my eyes on.

April Inspiration

Another Month. Here are a few little things to inspire you this April. This month I'm liking ripped jeans, barely there makeup and pastel shades.

Cèlfie Time

These T's have been floating around Tumblr and Instagram for a while, and it was only a matter of time before I got my hands on one. I paired it with a lil' DIY project- my skirt. Being a lanky 5ft 10", I find it difficult to find skirts that cover my tooshie sometimes, so I figured I may as well try and make one that did. A bit of fabric and one very good YouTube video, and I was sorted!

It's officially Spring here in England, but that doesn't mean that I wasn't freezing my butt off taking these snaps. Although if I'm honest, I'm just so happy that my camera has been fixed and is back on form. Time to get back into a blogging routine! Having said that, sleep is definitely coming first for me right now. You know when you feel under the weather and get a cold that you can't shift? Yeah, that's been me for the past few weeks. I'm off to go and bury myself under my duvet with a book.

This is my last week of school before a well needed break, and I'm kinda in denial of the fact that I have to start revising for exams after Easter. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

NOTD: Ballet Slippers, Essie

Rings- Topshop and River Island

Ballet Slippers has just been added to ever-growing nail polish stash and I couldn't be happier. I'm sure you've heard all about this shade because there's constant hype around it, but it's the perfect combination of pastel, off-white goodness. It's pretty sheer, so you'll need three coats before you get a nice, opaque effect. But I kind of like that about it, because you can have a really subtle wash of pink, or build it up.

Granted, you need a good dollop of top coat to protect this from chipping (I think I lasted 3 days tops), but you can't fault Essie on their colour selection. What's next on my list, I hear you ask? It's definitely Master Plan. After Suzie at Hello October blogged about this shade I have decided I need it. The perfect taupe-y, lilac grey? I'm sold.

On The Go

At long last, I'm back. This super easy look was my outfit of choice for a quick trip to London. Heeled ankle boots that are comfy? Hell yes. Put it with skinny jeans, and white shirt (this River Island offering has sheer sleeve panels) and a navy coat, and I'm there.

This past month has been hectic, to say the very least. My camera is still out of action, so my iPhone is my new best friend. Waiting for packages from the other side of the world sucks, man. I can't wait till I get this new camera part! I've just finished a huge school project that I've been working on since September though, so that's one less thing to think about. These next few months are going to be so, so important for me. I'm about to respond to my university offers and then it's revision, revision, revision.

Anyone sensing a theme here? I hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
